Neighborhood and Board Updates

**Updated 8/19/26**

-District 308 Referendum – Community Meet & Greet Oswego Community Unit School District 308 is hosting an informational meeting for residents to learn more about the proposed Update 308 referendum. The meeting will include information about the district’s facility and infrastructure needs, the proposed referendum, and its potential tax impact. Residents will also have an opportunity to meet with district leadership, ask questions, and learn more about what is being proposed and why. Please see the attached flyer for meeting details. We encourage residents who are interested in learning more to attend and get their questions answered.

-The Board is actively implementing initiatives to strengthen communication with the community and ensure residents receive timely and relevant information.


-The Board is actively reviewing the Association's governing documents, including the Declaration and Rules & Regulations, to ensure they reflect current Illinois laws and regulatory requirements. We will keep the community informed as this process progresses.

-The Board has taken action regarding the short-term rental (Airbnb) in the neighborhood, and we expect a resolution in the near future.

-The damaged community monument has been scheduled for repair, and work is expected to begin in the near future.

-To help preserve the appearance and value of our community, effective January 1, 2026, homeowners are expected to promptly repair damaged fencing. Unrepaired fence damage may be subject to fines in accordance with Association policies.

-Unapproved Fence type/material (visible at Barrington/Eola Southwest corner) Removed and replaced with fence according to HOA Declaration.

-Monuments at the Reserve and at Barrington/Haefenrichter northwest corner Replaced with LED lights for improved visibility and longevity.

-Soon - Requesting permission to use electronic communication from all residents.

-Holding all open meetings begining in August 2026.
